Terrace Backs
Typical of many urban areas, in close proximity to railways, are the back of terraced housing dating back to the Victorian period. Over the years, many have been altered by a succession of owners. Sheet includes an entry road to the backs drawn in perspective.

Factory Building
A generic factory building often found next to the railway. Although it has been designed to be a long set of buildings, with care, the factory can be adapted to suit your own circumstances. Attached to the main building is the manager's house.

A Familiar Street
Down the cobbled street to the homes of the Barlows, Stan & Hilda, Alfred Roberts, Miss Nugent & landlady Annie Walker. There's no stone cladding - Jack & Vera haven't moved in yet! Sheet includes a side road and a back alley drawn in perspective.

Railway Street
Railway Street is typical of many terraced houses built in the 19th century as urban areas quickly expanded. On the corner you will find 'The Royal Sovereign' with its tiled frontage. Sheet includes a side road and two back alleys drawn in perspective.

Mill Building
A 'dark and satanic mill' building of the 19th century. These huge buildings frequently dominated the skyline of industrial towns and cities. With care you can cut the sections to different lengths to suit the position and space on your backscene.

Derelict Street Set 1
From the 1960s onwards many terraced properties faced the bulldozer in the pursuit of 'progress'. Urban decay is still a feature in many areas in proximity to railways. This sheet features such houses in various conditions. Perspective road & alley included.

Brick Retaining Arched Wall

Station Hotel
Railway companies often built imposing hotels for their travellers in close proximity to the station. This sheet represents such a concern. Two are included on the sheet allowing the modeller to extend the premises if desired.

Gladstone Street
Gladstone Street was originally built by a railway company for its employees in the late 19th century. There are two shops on the street, a butchers shop and chemists. The sheets includes two back alleys drawn in perspective.

Hill Street
As the name suggests, these backscene elements are designed to go up (or down) gradients. However, if the modeller desires, they can also be used on the level giving a degree of versatility. The houses in this set are in a similar style to those of the Gladstone Street set (BScene2 GladSt).

Fabrication Works
Built in the late 19th century, Stephenson & Johnson Steel Fabrication Works is a large brick building with large windows and glass roofing to maximise light in the erecting shops. The central office & Admin block has been “modernised”. Extra chimneys included.

North Road County School
North Road County School was built in the late 19th century and is a large two storey building with wing buildings to each side. Typical of many urban school built after the Education Act of 1870, the school would have educated girls, boys and infants in separate parts of the building and had different entrances for each.

Butts Mill
Butts Cotton Mill is typical of many to be found around the country but particularly in Lancashire and Yorkshire. This large building (based on Butts Mill in Leigh) is a five storey mill with a tower housing water tanks together with a boiler house and chimney. The mill could be enlarged with the use of additional sections if required.
