This train was very popular with holiday makers heading for the south coast in the 1920s and 30s. It was a direct service from Yorkshire to resorts in the South-West. Introduced in 1927, this inter-regional was operated jointly by the LMS and GWR. The LMS ran the train from Bradford Foster Square to Bristol Temple Meads. Here the GWR took over haulage of the train. En route the train picked up and dropped off portions with the remainder of the main train heading for Paignton and Kingswear.
